The Capture S3 now in production

As we previously announced, The Capture S3 was officially announced by Holliday on a podcast, yet, the news was now advanced by BBC itself, confirming the new season is coming. Holliday will lead as Rachel once again, and will be joined by fellow Strike co-star Killian Scott. Season 3 is already filming in South East of Englan and will be back 12 months after the deepfake of S2.

The BBC has announced the return of The Capture for a third series. Created, written and executive produced by BAFTA-winning Ben Chanan, The Capture is produced by Heyday Television, which is part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group, for BBC iPlayer and BBC One.

Holliday Grainger will return to lead the cast, with Killian Scott (Strike, Kaos, Dublin Murders) joining The Capture for series three in a pivotal role. Other returning cast members include Indira Varma as BBC Newsnight presenter Khadija Khan, Ben Miles as Danny Hart, Lia Williams as Gemma Garland, Ginny Holder as DI Nadia Latif, Ron Perlman as CIA agent Frank Napier, Nigel Lindsay as DSI Tom Kendricks, Tessa Wong as DC Chloe Tan and Daisy Waterstone as Abigail Carey.

Joe Dempsie (Get Millie Black, Toxic Town, Game of Thrones), Andrew Buchan (Black Doves, Broadchurch, Better), Hugh Quarshie (Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, Stephen, Holby City) and Amanda Drew (A Very British Scandal, The Gold, Gangs of London) also join the cast.

How do you protect the truth, in a world where lies are daily currency? And with the proliferation of deepfakes, how can we trust what we see?
