Holliday Grainger has landed a leading role in the sci-fi film ‘Mickey7’. She started shooting the movie the week – which will be directed by Oscar-winning ‘Parasite’ filmmaker Bong Joon-Ho – in London. Holliday will be starring opposite Robert Pattinson for the third time, and also in the cast is Toni Colette, Mark Ruffalo, Steven Yeun and Naomi Ackie.
On The Sun newspaper: “This is arguably Holliday’s biggest role to date. It will see her mix with the A-list of acting and will really elevate her stardom. She’s had big film roles before but she was chuffed to be asked to work with Bong, who is one of the most sought-after people in the industry right now.”
The film is based on the novel of the same name by Edward Ashton and Bong will write, direct and produce for his production company Offscreen.
The story follows Mickey7 – a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonise the ice world Niflheim. Whenever there is a mission that is too dangerous – even suicidal – the crew turns to Mickey. After one iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of his memories intact. After six deaths, Mickey7 understands the terms of his deal and why it was the only colonial position unfilled when he took it.
Holliday claims: “I’m getting more selective, the more I do. As an actor, you want to do a variety of things, but first and foremost, it’s the script, the quality of the script and the part. If the script is great and it’s a part that I believe and I believe the world, that’s rarer than you think. It’s always a project that I want to be involved in, if it’s a world that I believe. As an actor, when you’re put into a world that you believe, you’re given the freedom to do what you want with the character.”
As we went down and tried to find out if there was anything we were missing over the gallery to bring you some new items we realized that we never uploaded on set pictures from My Cousin Rachel from 2016. Enjoy:
After premiering at the Sundance Film Festival in 2019 and screening around the world at other fests, including Adelaide, Galway, Melbourne, and Stockholm, Sophie Hyde’s “Animals” has locked in a permanent North American home. The dramedy, starring Alia Shawkat and Holliday Grainger as a pair of long-time best friends at a crossroads, has been snapped up for a fall digital and VOD release by Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen’s Entertainment Studios.
“Animals” will be available to rent and own on DVD and North American digital HD internet, cable, and satellite platforms on November 10.
Since times are pretty low on news, I have taken the time to upload new items to our gallery. Now, Animals screencaps is now over the gallery with +2000 HD screen captures from the movie. This is definitely, in my opinion, by far, one of the best characters Holliday has played. Follow the links below:
