To all Holliday Grainger fans we announce that we will be on a small hiatus and will return mid September. Follow our Twitter page and Instagram page for news related to Holly which will be transfered to the fansite as soon as we are back.
The first review is out on Standard.co.uk: Rejoice, The Capture fans. The glossy thriller is back, and has graduated from solving murder cases to tackling international spy conspiracies.
For season two, brainiac cop DCI Rachel Carey – played by Holliday Grainger with a stiff posture and a sort of permapout that never changes no matter the circumstances – is back.
And well might she pout. After joining the Correction, the shadowy government organisation that made her life hell in series one before offering her a job, all is not well. DI Carey has been reduced to the spy equivalent of an admin assistant, reduced to endlessly cornering her boss in the lift in the hope of a promotion.
We also added two new promotional pictures to the gallery:
Holliday Grainger has landed a leading role in the sci-fi film ‘Mickey7’. She started shooting the movie the week – which will be directed by Oscar-winning ‘Parasite’ filmmaker Bong Joon-Ho – in London. Holliday will be starring opposite Robert Pattinson for the third time, and also in the cast is Toni Colette, Mark Ruffalo, Steven Yeun and Naomi Ackie.
On The Sun newspaper: “This is arguably Holliday’s biggest role to date. It will see her mix with the A-list of acting and will really elevate her stardom. She’s had big film roles before but she was chuffed to be asked to work with Bong, who is one of the most sought-after people in the industry right now.”
The film is based on the novel of the same name by Edward Ashton and Bong will write, direct and produce for his production company Offscreen.
The story follows Mickey7 – a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonise the ice world Niflheim. Whenever there is a mission that is too dangerous – even suicidal – the crew turns to Mickey. After one iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of his memories intact. After six deaths, Mickey7 understands the terms of his deal and why it was the only colonial position unfilled when he took it.
Holliday claims: “I’m getting more selective, the more I do. As an actor, you want to do a variety of things, but first and foremost, it’s the script, the quality of the script and the part. If the script is great and it’s a part that I believe and I believe the world, that’s rarer than you think. It’s always a project that I want to be involved in, if it’s a world that I believe. As an actor, when you’re put into a world that you believe, you’re given the freedom to do what you want with the character.”
We have been graced with the official 1st trailer of BBC ONE’S The Capture. I can’t wait to have DI Rachel Carey in my screen!
And August is the lucky month in 2022 as Holliday made an official appearance to promote The Capture Season 2 (soon to be) release! She attended a photocall alongside co-stars Daisy Waterstone, Indira Varma, Tessa Wong, Ben Miles and Joseph Arkley as well as members of the crew Ben Chanan, Rosie Alison, James Kent and Chris Corrigan. We added 31 pictures of Holly beautyfully wearing a dress and shoes she previously wore here and here, which we have added to Holly’s Closet for future reference as well.
And we couldn’t be more excited with the end of July starting so well!! The Capture S2 will be released in August in BBC UK and then on NBC Peacock! And to celebrate the six-part new season, the first three official pictures have now been released. I have added them on promotional pictures until episode stills are released and we can categorize any of them per episode:
